We visited most of the plantations along the gulf. This was a very informative trip. In Oak Alley for instance, cattle were allowed on the lower level by union troops, and they nearly destroyed all of the flooring. And no, slaves were NOT happy to be enslaved no matter how nice their accomodations. Right click

Probably our favorite ong term camping site in the south. Mississippi has so little but they do have some exceptional outdoor areas. We were given an acre for our site here by turning the RV . The dogs loved it. There were chickens and ducks to chased, and a pond Archie loved to jump in
