Hey Ya´ll!
You have probably noticed that the Escape to Tequis webpage and Facebook page are gone. The truth is that the town has outgrown it and I cant keep up. Also we are seeing unprecedented growth in our little town that doesn’t need encouragement.
So, we have reinvented our old personal website, which is where we will be posting our activities from now on. Which brings me to the next reason we decided to make this change. In a word…..Facebook. Its lack of security, its feed that you can’t really change no matter how hard you try, and the abundance of hacked accounts in our area alone have forced many here to reconsider how to use Facebook in the future if continuing to use it at all. For us, the worst is the hatred, misinformation and bigotry that is spread. I really can’t fathom how people believe the ignorant things they do, and social media puts a spotlight on the worst behaviors. That and the daily barrage of animals that have been harmed or killed and a variety of scam ads has us starting our day in the worst frame of mind. So, we have decided to use Facebook for informational purposes only. As far as posting any personal information, videos, pictures, or other info, we are done with Facebook. Its just too dangerous.
From now on, I will provide in Facebook a link to our secure website when we have added content. We have added additional site security to make sure no one accessing it gets hacked. I will send the group accounts on Messenger and WhatsApp the same links. If you dont want to hear the dings every time I message, mute the account. That way you can still access the links whenever you want.
Now let me tell you what ison our new personal website. Mainly lots of photos and videos from the decades we´ve been together and all of our adventures going forward. I will also make them downloadable. We are scanning in some of the oldest family pics so ya’ll can print them for framing. You just right click on the photo and make your choice on the menu.
